Lucie Vézina

Lucie Vézina earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières, and has been a professional painter since 1990. As a native of Trois-Rivières, it seems that nature and its splendor, the vegetation and the abundance of its motifs were pretexts for creation and influenced all of her work. This results in a pictorial expression that is both abstract and figurative where larger-than-life characters and reinvented flora coexist. Her preferred media are multiple: acrylic, ink, wax, and oil form a unity of expression in his mixed techniques. The effects are textured and bring a very personal interpretation to her works. Lucie Vézina has several solo and group exhibitions to her credit throughout Quebec. Her work forms part of public and private collections in Canada, the United States, France and Japan.
